Seniors: Check-Out Forms and Graduation Rehearsal
Seniors:
- You are required to attend the graduation rehearsal Thursday, May 24 at 8 AM. This is mandatory. Please see Mr. Frei if you have questions.
- Be sure to pick up your senior check-out forms on Monday, May 21, from Mr. Frei in the cafeteria before school and during period 1.
- Finish strong!
Pick Up Your Prom Pictures
Prom pictures are available at the Info Booth any time during your off-block, lunch or afterschool.
Library Books Due Wednesday, May 16
Attention LHS library patrons. ALL library books are due this Wednesday, May 16. Clean your lockers, your cars and even under your bed….look for those books and return them to the library as soon as possible. Thank you!
Apply to Volunteer at Mckee by Friday, May 18
McKee Medical Center is now accepting applications for students who would like to be part of the Teen Volunteer Program over the summer. There are positions within the hospital or as a part of the Child Care Center, Wellness Walk, or Grounds Crew. Students who are 14 and 15 will be considered for only “non-medical” assignments, those who are 16 and over can pick from any position available. Applications are due to McKee NO LATER than Friday, May 18. Please stop by the Counseling Office for an application.
Yearbook Distribution Begins Friday, May 18, 3 to 5 PM
Yearbooks are here! Distribution will begin on Friday, May 18 from 3 – 5 PM in the LHS cafeteria. You must have an ID to pick up your book. If you cannot pick up your yearbook on Friday, distribution will continue the following week of May 21 – 23, Monday – Wednesday, during lunch and after school. Beginning on Thursday, May 24, yearbooks may be picked up from Bookkeeping.
We will also have yearbooks for sale for $80. There is a limited amount of extras, so get one quick!

This was the second year that Geometry in Construction Management Team Members competed in SkillsUSA. All these individuals worked very hard for these competitions and they’ve got the medals to prove it.

- Shelby and Aurora won SLVER MEDALS in Community Service
- Damon, Ryker, Lauren, Kailey, and William wonBRONZE MEDALS in Quiz Bowl
- William won a BRONZE MEDAL in Prepared Speech
- Lauren and Kailey won BROZE MEDALS in Promotional Bulletin Board
LHS STUCO Earns 2012 National Council of Excellence Award
For its exemplary record of leadership, service, and activities that serve to improve the school and community, Loveland High School has been awarded a 2012 National Council of Excellence Award by the National Association of Student Councils (NASC). Nearly 180 high school councils across the country were named National Councils of Excellence.

Seniors: Scholarship Opportunities
SENIORS: Are you feeling overwhelmed with the number of scholarship applications to complete? No? WHY NOT? If you haven’t begun the scholarship application process yet, you may have already missed out on dollars that will help you pay for your education. Don’t put it off any longer, check out the scholarships posted on Naviance. At this point in the year, you should be checking the scholarship list at least once a week. If you aren’t on Naviance, or just have general scholarship questions, please sign up to see your counselor.
New Items at the School Store
Come on down to the school store between classes and on your off block and see what is new. We have many flavors of teas and iced drinks. We also have bagels and burritos. Bagels are $1.50 on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and $1 on Friday. Burritos are $2.50 on Wednesday. We will be holding drawings for various items in the school store this semester. So come on down and check it out.
Orchestra News
The LHS orchestra played at the Mountain View Orchestra Festival last Thursday, Nov. 30 and got high marks from the judge, and good exposure to the Loveland community. This was the first time the LHS orchestra has been to a contest in over five years! Five LHS students were accepted into the Colorado All State Orchestra! They are: Teagan, Daniel, Justin, David, and Ryan.
